Special Tasting with Zev Rovine - The Ferd'nand Bottle Society

As part of Authentic Wines! month at Lower Bar Ferd'nand in Melrose Market, Zev Rovine of Zev Rovine Selections will be in town on Wednesday, May 18 from 5-7 pm, to share samples from his portfolio and talk about the winemakers he represents. These are all truly small production, family owned farms growing unadulterated expressions of grape and place.

Ten wines will be poured and accompanied by snacks from Sitka & Spruce.  All wines will be available for purchase or pre-order with 15% discounts on 6 or more bottles (mixed cases are fine).

Tickets are $35/person ($20 for Bottle Society members).

We'll be showcasing two French winemakers: Hirotake Ooka (originally from Japan), who owns Domaine de la Grande Colline in the Northern Rhône and Jean-Pierre Robinot of L'Ange Vin in the Loire Valley. Neither winemaker produces much of these wines, so come taste before it disappears!

Beckham Wine Dinner at Nell's Restaurant

Join us on Thursday, July 23, at Nell’s Restaurant in Greenlake. Chef Philip Mihalski has  a created a six course tasting menu to pair with wines from Beckham Estate Vineyard (Chehalem Mountains AVA).

This will be a unique opportunity to meet Andrew and Annedria Beckham and learn more about their wines and the “Amphora Project”, which involves fermenting and aging wine in clay urns sculpted and fired by Andrew in his studio on the estate.
